Cambodia Business Association and JETRO Hold Business Matching Meeting in Japan

PHNOM PENH, April 9, 2024 – The Cambodia Business Association (CBA) and the Japan External Trade Organization (JETRO) convened for a business matching meeting at the JETRO headquarters in Tokyo, Japan, on May 8. The meeting aimed to foster stronger business community ties between the two countries.

The Cambodian delegation was led by Sun Chanthol, Deputy Prime Minister and First Vice President of the Council for the Development of Cambodia (CDC), along with Tuy Ry, Ambassador of Cambodia to Japan.


During the meeting, Sun Chanthol highlighted that all Cambodian enterprises present had participated in the 2023 Cambodian Investment Seminar, which was presided over by Prime Minister Hun Manet. These companies are involved in sectors such as logistics, aluminium manufacturing, agriculture and agro-industry, pharmaceuticals, and information and communication technology (ICT).

The CDC Vice President expressed optimism that this event would encourage Japanese enterprises to consider investment opportunities in Cambodia, leveraging the potential for growth and collaboration between the two nations.
